Project Lead – ITSM Specialist

Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace.  The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of “big data” solutions to promote efficient trade and travel.  Further, effective “big data” solutions help CBP ensure the movement of people, capital, and products is legal, safe, and secure.  In response to this challenge, Adtech, as a trusted mission partner of CBP, seeks capable, qualified, and versatile Project Leads ITSM Specialists to facilitate data-driven decision making in response to national security threats. 

Role and Responsibilities

The Project Lead(s) ITSM Specialist directly reports to the Program Office Team lead for different project areas supported by the client’s Division.  The project lead(s) provide independent oversight and review of multiple program task areas, providing recommendations for improvement to systems and applications where requested. The IT SM Specialist will lead analysis of complex problems, perform customer studies, concept evaluations, develop system models, identify potential risks and problem areas, and provide recommended solutions. The IT SM Specialist must have demonstrated recent and relevant experience with specific National Security technologies employed by the customer in the Program specifically including secure wireless devices, image processing, as well as processing applications and IV&V processes and procedures. The IT SM Specialist must be capable of writing scripts to push out updates provide support in configuration management and control.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

The PM must have a:

  • BS or BA degree and 20 years’ experience

or

  • MS degree and 15 years’ experience with system development, IV&V, and deployment of technology activities within DHS.

Additional Notes

The PM must be a US Citizen, with an active DHS CBP background investigation or be capable of passing one.
